Conference Mission Team
Being a missional people, in all its myriad manifestations, is near to the heart of PSMC congregations.
During the first decade and a half of the life of our conference, we have grown exponentially in a variety of ways.
We have increased in number, we have become more active practitioners of God’s just peace,we have become increasingly diverse culturally and linguistically,and we have expanded our vision of what God might be doing among us.
Towards this end, we affirm the following priorities and principles:
- We see the congregation at the core of the mission process.
- We affirm a grass-roots approach to organizing for mission.
- As a conference, we hope to create, grow, and strengthen authentic, healthy, communities of hope.
- We hope that churches can see themselves as encouraging and nurturing another congregation.
News
The next meeting of the CMT will be held at All Souls Christian Center (5125 South Crenshaw Blvd, Los Angeles, California 90043) on Friday, February 10. We will figure this meeting will run from 9:30 am to 3 p.m.
We now have a PSMC CMT Planning Committee. Current members of the planning committee are Dick, Hannah, Hyun and Steve Penner, with an MCC representative to be finalized. This group is to meet on Friday, February 3, at Sunnyslope Mennonite in Phoenix. The meeting runs from 8 am to 11 am.
